But for every pound I spent on my children’s wardrobe when they were small, I must have spent half as much again on bibs to keep their clothes clean, and cleaning materials to get the stains out of the clothes when the bibs didn’t work!

All my babies dribbled – a lot. I didn’t just need something for messy mealtimes – I needed something they could wear all day. The shops sold bibs, of course, but there was nothing remotely fashionable enough that I would have wanted to keep them wearing all day.

Which is how I came to design the Skibz.

The Skibz is half a scarf and half a bib; it looks like an ordinary item of clothing as opposed to a bib and it’s both functional and fashionable.

I insist that Skibz are produced to the highest quality – after all, they started life on my own children. We work hard to source tightly woven fabrics to enable the Skibz to be highly absorbent and not too bulky in appearance – it doesn’t remotely resemble a bib and it’s comfortable enough for children to wear all day.

The fun part comes in sourcing the fabric designs and we pride ourselves on having a range to suit everyone , from tweed for the country lovers to cosy pastels for extra cuddle appeal! Polka dots, gingham, denim and delicate florals are setting the trends at the moment, whilst animal prints are enduringly popular and set to stay in the range for the foreseeable future.
